I was asked to create 40 illustrations for a history book for students aged 11 - 14. Each illustration introduces a chapter and the related historical period. The images were to depict a symbolic figure of that period (accompanied by a quote from them) and convey the atmosphere of the era, through a combination of drawing, painting and collage created using famous paintings, documents and photographs.
